A Dream is Born!
About Three years ago, DreamDuffer and I , GypsyStar, began kicking around the idea about getting a camper. It was just a thought. That thought started creeping into many of our conversations. We had tent camped a few times and we enjoyed it for the most part. The idea behind getting a camper was the freedom to travel the United States with our little Oreo Cookie. We are retired military, so we have traveled overseas and domestically, but there is so much of this great county we have not seen. We began looking at motorhomes and long story short, we found a great deal on a diesel Holiday Vacationer. We bought it, took our first camping trip to a local campground, and right away we learned we had a lot to learn! The manual still has it’s permanent place behind the driver’s seat and is used frequently. My first morsel of advice is read the manual and keep it near.
Since getting the MH, we have been to local campgrounds, State and Federal Parks, boon docked in parking lots and traveled many miles to many states. I have created this site to share our trips including the good, the bad and the ugly. Yes, there have been ugly. The beautiful sights and scenery available in this big nation of ours is truly amazing! We have not even begun to see all we wish to see.
