The closets are actually roomy in most RVs and can store more clothes that you really need. You are after all camping. Take clothing appropriate for the season. I take a couple of dressier items for a church service and if we decide to splurge on a nice dinner out. Other than that, shorts, capris, jeans and tops. One of the many things I do love about rving is taking my clothes closet, dresser and bathroom with me. No suit case and toiletry bags to load, unload, load, unload, rearrange load..well you get the idea.
- Closets…whose is whose? We have had some discussion on closet space. RV closets of course vary. Ours has a tall one, a closet for mainly shirts and a closet for jackets and other stuff. We share. Our pants and skirts go in the tall closet, shirts, tees and blouses in another. We have six drawers. We divide and share. Shoes are stored in both closets. I have discovered, I do not need shoes to match every outfit. I have narrowed down to five pairs! I know! Gasp! Well, of course it depends on the season but even then, I keep inventory to five pair. I have found my good and comfy tennis shoes are the most important, followed by flip flops. Hey, I am a southern gal after all.
- What do I wear the most? Well. in cool weather I wear jeans and sweats, long sleeve tops and either tennis shoes or boots. In warm weather I wear jeans, capris, shorts and tees, and of course the flip flops. I am not even close to being fancy these days. A nice set for church service and dinner out…I am cool! I do have a few scarves I toss over a tee shirt…Hey…don’t judge…it can dress me up! Of course I do have jewelry and makeup. I figure if you have accessories and makeup even sweats look good.
- What does DreamDuffer wear? Need you ask? He wears golf tees, polo shirts and shorts in summer. Slacks and jeans in winter. As far a shoes he wears sandals. tennis shoes and his lucky golf shoes. There ya go…easy packing for him! There is also the all weather golf jacket and my jacket all weather jean jacket hanging near the door.
- We will get into the many ways of washing your laundry later. You must come back.
