Roman Nose Golf Course is truly an Oklahoma gem. It has a great layout and well maintained. If you decide to play, bring your game and bring lots of golf balls! It is a very challenging course.
There are a few of the holes that you are playing to a blind fairway,
so read your card It is certainly an impressive course. and at times somewhat primitive. On the back nine, there are a number of challenging holes and none are flat, boring and predictable. I can’t remember the hole, but you have to hit over a ravine from the tee box. Fortunately, the women’s tee box is on the other side of the ravine.
This course is one of DreamDuffer’s favorite courses because it is such a challenging course.
The Roman Nose State Park Golf Course offers sloping bent grass greens, Bermuda grass tees, and fairways, natural hazards, lake views, canyon walls, and mesas. Facilities include a putting green and pro shop with cart and club rentals, snacks and drinks. Cabins, lodging, and other recreational opportunities are available within Roman Nose State Park. We love to camp at the campground by the lake.
If you are driving down I-40 between Amarillo, Texas and Oklahoma City, OK and feel up to a challenging game of golf and a wonderful stay at Roman Nose State Park either camping or in a cabin or the beautiful lodge I highly recommend this park and golf course.
